My pain-your gain. Please note-due to ebay changing thier format no the small photos, you will need to look at my knives under the en-larged photos, to see genuine appearance of the knives.
For some reason the small photos are blury, and in no wya represent the real appearance of the knives, thank you! . Hi knife friends, today we are listing a very specila knife, ~~a mint gilbert e. Moore customized 2008 case xx hammerhead l. B. With his very unique, added ~3rd-bolster~, aaa grade mother of pearl/turquoise/black jet & barss handles, with beautiful filework~~, never used, carried or sharpened, with the original leather belt sheath & box. This fabulous knife was totally rewroked by gilbert e. Moore, 71 years young and a reitred master machinist from the old, colorado fuel and iron works steel mill. eH started rehandling and fileworking knives aprox. 3 years ago, out of his home in southern colorado-for years he would rough-out a knife from a leaf-spring or an old file, out of boredom on his job, but it never occured to him to rework or customize one, until his son rory, showed him a customized parker knife he had purchased. Mr. Moore prefers using buck, case & parker knives, due to thier quality, unique patterns, and it doesn't hurt that his son has a nice sized collection of these knives. He uses only exotic handle materials, and likes to inlay brass, that he gets from an old, 800 lb. Bearing, that was discarded from the roll mill, acst in 1904, to seperate the different handle materials and on this knife, has added what he calls the 3rd bolster-a large piece of brass into the center of the handle-he has even replaced original nickle silver bolsters, with pieces of this brass. He adds a beautiful finishing touch to his knives, with only hand performed filework to the blade and backspring, and by hand-scribing his personal emblem gem, either on the blade or bolster & the 3rd-b on the back of the blade, refering to his 3rd bolster ytpe knife. This fabulous 5 closed knife, has gorgeous, aaa grade white mother of pearl/turquoise/black jet & brass handles-no cracks or chips. The brushed finish, 440 stainless steel blade, has excellent snap, locks in tight, with no blade movement, and tang stamped case xx usa 2159l ss on the front, and his own (gem)(gilbert e. Moore) & 3rd-b(his added third center bolster). The original case xx hammerhead, was ~~hand made~~, in the good ol' u. S. A. Better grab this one quick.
